Haworthia fasciata, the classic Zebra Plant, is a popular small succulent characterized by distinctive white tubercled bands creating horizontal stripes across dark green, pointed leaves. This South African native forms tight rosettes and thrives in partial shade, making it ideal for indoor cultivation. Unlike many succulents, it prefers filtered light and can suffer from too much direct sun, developing brown or reddish stress coloration. The architectural striping pattern and compact size make it perfect for terrariums, dish gardens, or as a desk plant. Produces tubular white flowers on thin stalks in summer. Very tolerant of neglect and low light.
